Brijuni archipelago is a national park situated 7 kilometers from Pula (a road, rail, air and maritime center). It is situated 280 km from Zagreb, 120 from Trieste or 100 from Rijeka. The islands can be reached only by a boat from Fazana, which is the terminal for the frequent connections by boat (15 minute ride).

You can reach Fazana from Pula (7 km by road) either by taxi or by bus. Buses run daily from Pula each hour starting from 5.15 until 21.35 .
Another way is to use a ship from Venezia or Trieste. A company AGEMAR travel agency runs a line from Trieste. The ship name is Marconi. Their ship, named The Princesse of Dubrovnik runs according to the following time tables:
Saturday 18 June, Monday 20 June, Thursday 23 June and Saturday 25 June: Depart from San Basilio (Venezia) at 17.00, arrives at Porec at 20.00 and then there is an organized transfer by bus to Fazana.The same days the ship is returning from Porec at 8.00 and it arrives to Venezia at 10.45.
On Tuesday 21 June: Depart from San Basilio (Venezia) at 17.00, arrival to Rovinj at 20.00 and then transfer to Fazana by bus. Depart to Venezia is at 8.00 from Rovinj.
Pula has an airport and it is connected with Zagreb each day (except Saturday) by one or two flights by Croatia Airlines (www.croatiaairlines.hr). For June 2005, the time-table is the following:

Pula can also be reached by a fast boat from Venezia. You can find more information on www.venezialines.com. There are numerous buses from Italy to Pula. There is a regular bus line from Trieste 5 times a day at 9.00 , 14.00 , 16.15 , 17.00 , 18.00. Also a line Padova-Mestre-Trieste-Pula. Pula is also connected by buses with Koper (2 times a day), Porec and Rovinj (at least 6 times a day), Umag (4 times a day), Rijeka (more then 20 times a day) and Zagreb (12 times a day).
